ABOUT ME

Hello, and welcome to my portfolio!
My name is Kathryn Parker and I have always had a passion to learn, help people, and be creative. Architecture has given me that opportunity every day and I am excited to be beginning my career in a field where I can do just that. My main interest with my designs is to allow people to experience their world in a much more phenomenological, yet functional way. I am also interested in biophilic and sustainable design as it relates to our wellbeing and our planet.
To get where I am today, I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where I received my Bachelor's in Interior Architecture and am finishing up my Masters of Architecture. I have had several previous design internships in both fields and have also had the opportunity as a graduate assistant to teach students some of my knowledge and understanding of several different computer software and technical information. I currently work at an architecture firm in Denver, CO designing community & recreation centers. This position has helped me to gain valuable experience in a real world setting while expressing my creativity and learning the more technical side of design.

Other interests of mine include hiking and kayaking, maintaining my wellbeing at the gym, 3D printing, and updating / refinishing things in my home.
I hope you enjoy my work, and I would love to get to know you. Please feel free to send me a message or email me below!
