St. Charles Fieldhouse

Aiming to design a Fieldhouse for local youth tournaments and a family friendly outdoor complex, the town of St. Charles, MO worked with BRS and SWT to create a feasibility study to present to the community. The town has a master plan with SWT to create a 100 acre park at the North edge of the community that would include disc golf, man-made lakes, a bike park, trailways, open fields, shade structures, and "The Hub" where our site was located.

The Hub consists of the Fieldhouse, 18-hole mini golf, a 10 acre man-made lake, game lawns, food truck plaza, restaurant, boardwalks, shade structures, batting cages, and parking for the Fieldhouse and rest of The Hub. BRS's scope included the Fieldhouse and restaurant, as well as the collaboration with SWT to make a cohesive site with ample flow and access to all activities and parking.

My role on the team as the lead designer was to help take the needs of the Fieldhouse concept and layout a functional sport center that interacted with the outside site, restaurant, and surrounding activities while also providing spaces for spectators. Our concepts with this design were centered around the town's concerns of safety, community interaction, and user experience.
